Client names, matter details and intake answers drop into the document from the record you generate it from.
Check every document before it’s generated, so mistakes are caught before a client sees them.
Generated documents go into the matter’s folders, next to its tasks, billing and trust activity.
Keep drafting where you already draft, and stop retyping the same details.

Legal document automation software creates legal documents from templates and data the firm already has. Instead of retyping a client’s name, address and case details into every letter, the software fills them in. In CaseQube, the templates are Word documents and the data comes from the client, intake or matter record.
They overlap. Document generation means creating one document from a template and data. Document automation is the wider process of templates, data and filing working together. Document assembly is an older term for building documents from templates and clauses. CaseQube’s document generation covers the first two.
Any document your firm sends often with the same structure: engagement letters, retainer agreements, welcome letters, fee agreements, status letters, routine correspondence and settlement statements. If the layout stays the same and only client or case details change, it’s a good fit for a template.
Merge fields are placeholders in a template, such as client name, matter number or date of incident. When you generate the document, each field is replaced with the matching information from the record. One template can then produce a correct document for every client.
You build a template in Word and add merge fields. From a client, intake or matter record, you pick the template, preview the filled document, then generate it as Word or PDF. The finished document can be saved to the matter, emailed or downloaded.
Yes. CaseQube templates are Word documents, so you can start from the letters and agreements your firm already uses. You add merge fields where client and matter details belong, and the rest of your wording stays exactly as it is.
CaseQube fills merge fields with information stored on the record you generate from. That includes client contact details, matter details, key dates and answers collected during intake. If the information is on the record, it can go into the document.
Yes. CaseQube shows you the filled document before you generate it. If a detail is wrong, you can fix it on the record and preview again, so the final document goes out correct.
CaseQube generates documents as Word or PDF. Choose Word when the document still needs edits from an attorney, and PDF when it’s final and ready to send to the client or another party.
You can save the document to the matter’s folders, email it directly from CaseQube or download it. Documents saved to the matter sit with the rest of the case file and keep their version history.
Yes. CaseQube generates retainer agreements and welcome letters from your templates using the details collected during intake. When the client signs and the intake converts to a matter, the documents move with it.
Yes. CaseQube’s settlement workflow calculates attorney fees, medical bills, liens and expenses on the matter, then produces a client settlement statement as a PDF. The calculations and disbursements are recorded with an audit trail.
